Sing Me A Love Song

My love language is fabric. I speak silk fluently. I have a passionate affair with yarn. And there are remnants of our collisions stored in the memory boxes of our home. Stories woven in thread. Knitted in newborn caps and sewn in the coverings tucked around our sleepy image-bearers. My great grandmother was an artist … that’s where my love story starts. She stitched a love for creating right into my bones, with embroidery thread, a handmade quilt, and a scattering...

Pinterest …. I love you? I hate you?

So I pin eleventy billion craft ideas on pinterest …. I’m on a kick to actually DO some of them rather than wipe the drool off my computer keys after I look at things I’ll never do in a million years. Without further ado …. Dying eggs with RIT dye …. Butterfly Book Page Wreath (only my favorite project EVER!!!) …. Coffee filter carnations (attached to a tissue covered heart wreath for the Jamester) …. Why yes, it is craft...

Cubbies

So we are redecorating our bedroom … (yay!) But that’s for another post. It’s going to take about a year on the current budget, but I’m okay with that amount of time because I am going to have to L.O.V.E. it. P doesn’t like change. So this is it for at least ten years … anyhoo, the point of all that was to tell you that he started making the first bedside table this weekend. Of course I can’t just...

Oh, I almost forgot!!-Craftiness

Almost forgot to post my totally awesome ‘farkly’ Advent Calendar for my big sister and her family. Had so much fun making these:) The idea is to print out fun family activities (like these from Passionate Homemaking) and fold them up under the magnets. Love. Love. Love. Next year I’ll make one for myself:) Probably should have gone a little easier on the glitter. Nah. Merry Christmas Wheelers. ~M....
